I've covered Lynx in a few tutorials, but have never really given a general introduction to the browser.
I just found a web page that gives a nice introduction to Lynx for general browsing.
Using a text browser for surfing the Web might seem a little strange, but it can be very useful in certain situations.
Google's webmaster guidelines recommend using Lynx to see how your site might look to a search engine:
"Use a text browser such as Lynx to examine your site, because most search engine spiders see your site much as Lynx would."

I've covered this in a few tutorials already:
If you have a problem on your computer and can't boot into X (the windowing system powering your graphical desktop) then you can still use Lynx to search the Web for an answer. When my Windows computer became unbootable it took me a week to fix and the computer was useless during that time. When my Ubuntu system (graphical desktop) became unbootable, I just launched Lynx, used Google to search for an answer to my problem, and my system was fixed within 15 minutes.

Twitter Submitter works on any browser, any computer system. It allows you to post updates to your Twitter blog. I wrote it as I have a Win95 system and enjoy using Lynx and Opera, and all of the nifty apps accessing the Twitter API are too complex, confusing for me, or only work on a Mac or Vista system!
